FAHSOH received a 2014-2015 preservation grant from the Hawaii Council for the Humanities to record and produce a documentary DVD on Hawaii's masters of eskrima. Project director is eFIL's administrator, Clement Bautista. Scheduled to be released at the end of 2014, the documentary will feature oral histories and demonstrations by 11 schools of Filipino martial arts.

Hawaii educator and founding member of the Filipino-American Historical Society, Helen Nagtalon-Miller passed away on March 2, 2014. An inspiration to all who knew her, she will be missed for her insights, her humor, and her desire to make positive changes in society.
